Jerika Ejercito is a believer of Jesus Christ, a wife to Miquel, a mother to Isaiah 8, Daniel 4, Michael 4, Moses 3 and Marta 1. Her journey began as a fierce and passionate advocate for Mental Health. Being a “survivor” herself, she conquered her 12 year journey with severe depression, PTSD and anxiety back in 2012 which led her to her advocacy. She once headed the non-profit organization Be Healed Foundation, which focused on spreading basic knowledge about mental health to the less fortunate.
She has dedicated 8 years of her life to this cause and has served her purpose dutifully. In the end, her goal was to put Mental Health at the forefront of the Philippines’ priorities and in the conscience of our society. She is honored to have contributed to the passing of the very first Mental Health Law in the country back in 2016 through participating in the Senate discussions and technical working group.
