Ziggie Gonzales is a social entrepreneur, sustainability advocate and passionate environmentalist. By day, he works towards educating the public about financial literacy as Director of Brand and Product Management at USSC. By night, he plays the role of an eco-warrior, community builder and educator on sustainability practices. He started Circle Hostel in 2010 with a vision to grow a chain of sustainable surf hostels built with the vision to positively impact local communities while empowering them economically.

An avid surfer and environmentalist, Ziggie founded Plastic Solution in 2016. What started as an environmental challenge for awareness and education is now a licensed non-profit organization. Today, Plastic Solution has developed 10 metric tonnes of non-biodegradable waste for low cost builds. Through environmental work, he has contributed to scaling clean water access in depressed areas of the Philippines as well as developed a tour concept with Mad Travel.

It is Ziggie’s dream to grow and replicate more social enterprises that support environmental practices and communities across the Philippines. He hopes to help people help the environment and be aware of their waste consumption and practice sustainable efforts through education.
